EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Well East Texas, today is the big day…ELECTION DAY. I know the weather could be better, but it has turned out to be cool and a little damp.
Scattered showers are forecast for the rest of the afternoon, this evening, overnight tonight and a good portion of the day tomorrow. I don't think I have to tell you that a cold front has moved through the area as temperatures have dropped into the 50s and lower 60s across the area.
Not a lot of rain is falling on East Texas this afternoon. Scattered light showers seem to be the rule with only a few heavier showers dotting the area. As temperatures cool tonight, chances for rain showers will continue as temperatures drop into the upper 40s to low 50s.
On the day after, Election Day that is, temperatures will only recover into the middle 60s for afternoon highs as the chances for showers diminishes. Coming up tonight on KLTV-7 News at 5, 6, 10, I will have your 7 Day Forecast which improves quite a bit as skies clear and temperatures continue to be rather chilly.
The weekend forecast and more tonight at 10pm.
