Popping fire crackers on the fourth of July is a tradition. But so is giving back to the community for the New Diana High School Alumni.
Each year this roadside fireworks stand is operated by former students. 27% of the proceeds go to scholarships and other renovations at the New Diana I.S.D. For six years the alumni association has relied on these fireworks sales to help graduating seniors.
"All of this goes back into New Diana the graduating students or any projects that we can help with," says Jan Stephens with the alumni group.
The fireworks stand is located on highway 259 just across from the New Diana school district.
