SALISBURY - A 72-year-old registered sex offender in Rowan County is back in jail on new charges.

Coy Daniel Sheets, 72, was charged by the Rowan Sheriff's Office.

The Rowan County Sheriff's Office had received information from a concerned citizen that a registered Sex Offender, Coy Sheets, had been seen with a young man that appeared to be less then 18 years of age.
