CARLISLE, OH (FOX19) - An embattled mayor who was accused of having child pornography on his computer is now suing the city for millions.
Carlisle mayor Tim Humphries is seeking $6.5 million in damages stemming from a November incident when city officials seized his home and city-owned computers.
Humphries, who is still the mayor of Carlisle, is also suing the city manager, law director and former police chief.
The suit alleges defamation, false and malicious prosecution, slander and libel for the emotional distress and loss of reputation Humphries says he suffered. He also seeks an injunction against the city and the defendants to prohibit future harassment.
Mayor Humphries did not return calls for comment on the allegations.
