TYLER, TX - Omega Home Health, along with additional corporate sponsors will host the Kick-Off Event, which will include exhibits, free health screenings, live entertainment, guest speakers, and scheduled appearances by Representative Leo Berman and local government officials.
Attendees will register for TEXERCISE, a statewide health and wellness program of the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services that promotes, educates, and encourages older adults about the importance of regular physical activity and healthy eating habits throughout the lifespan.
This event is the beginning of a monthly Senior "Age Well, Live Well" Network that will meet monthly across East Texas to promote healthy aging habits.
Additional corporate sponsors include Sam's Club, Humana, University of Texas Health Science Center, Nutrition Destination, Interim Health Care, Legends of Lindale, Audiology Hearing Solutions, Infucare, and ETMC EMS.

East Texas TEXERCISE "Age Well, Live Well" Kick-Off Event is scheduled for Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Green Acres Baptist Church, 1607 Troup Hwy, Tyler, Texas, in the Galilee Room.
The event will begin at 10:30a.m., and end at 3:00p.m. The event is free to attend, and open to the public. East Texas TEXERCISE is a part of FitCity Tyler program.
