When to trick-or-treat this year

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Some local towns and business will be having Halloween festivities on Saturday, October 30th, instead of the traditional date for Halloween, October 31st.

Their reason's vary for this, but all agree there is nothing illegal about trick or treating either night.

Most who encourage celebrating Halloween on Saturday, are having city events and some businesses will be open to trick or treating.

Those towns that will be holding Halloween festivities on Saturday are: Lindale, White Oak, Alba, Henderson, Winnsboro and new London.

Towns sticking with the traditional date are: Whitehouse, Chandler, Troup, Frankston, Kilgore, Gladewater and Coffee City.

Carthage, Arp, Big Sandy, and Quitman are fine with either day and Longview doesn't hold a position on it.
