TYLER, TX - Smith County Sheriff Deputies, DEA, and ATF made a major drug bust in Smith County Thursday afternoon.
They have arrested what authorities say is a major player in drug distribution in the area.
43-year-old, Eugene Gordon Cook was arrested at his home on FM 14, where officers discovered sixty pounds of marijuana, six ounces of meth and three ounces of cocaine. Officers also confiscated two weapons and $4,000 in cash.
The drugs have a street value at nearly $40,000.
The arrest was made after a year long undercover investigation. Cook is out on a $20,000 bond.
