Zoo Animals Visit Longview Public Library

Visitors at the Longview public library today were acting like a bunch of animals. That's because zoo keepers from the Caldwell zoo stopped in for story-time and to show off some of their animals. They brought Australian Sugar Glidders, and two Hissing Cockroaches that a few kids didn't mind touching.

But the hit of the show was a Cornsnake called 'Corny'.  Kids brave enough to touch 'Corny' said he felt like a basketball.

Zoo keepers also pointed out to the children that kids should not pick up these kinds of animals at home.
