HUDSON, TX (KTRE) - Hudson Police have arrested a woman who they say was intoxicated and passed out in her front yard Monday evening while her 17-month-old child was alone inside the house.

Kelli Renee Thacker, 20, is charged with abandonment of child.

Lt. Jimmy Casper said Officer Wesley McNeeley was dispatched to the scene on the 100 block of Doda Street at about 7 p.m. after a call about a woman passed out in the yard.

McNeely managed to revive Thacker and during an investigation discovered the child was in the house alone. The child was fine and released to its father's custody.
