School cafeteria worker pleads guilty to improper relations with child

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A former cafeteria worker at Lindale High School pleaded guilty Monday morning to charges of improper relations between an educator and a student.

A report of the incident between Lisa Walker and a 15-year-old male student was filed on January 22, 2010. Lindale Independent School District Administration, says Walker was terminated on January 28, 2010.

According to Smith County Prosecutor, Richard Vance, the student has since moved out of state. Vance says all contact between Walker and the student happened outside of school.

Vance says he's recommending that Walker be sentenced to 10 years probation. At the time of her sentencing, Vance says it will also be determined if Walker has to register as a sex offender. Sentencing is in three weeks.
