Big Sandy dad speaks out about daughter's arrest

BIG SANDY, TX (KLTV) - BIG SANDY, TX (KLTV) - A Big Sandy 16-year-old died Tuesday from a possible drug overdose. A fellow Big Sandy student, Ashley Williamson, has been arrested.

Williamson's father, Corey Williamson, says he was at home with his daughter when she was arrested. He says he believes his daughter is responsible for what happened and should be held accountable. But, he would also like to know where the pills came from so that person, or people, are also held responsible.

In the meantime, his thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family.

"I'll get to see my daughter again, someday, and they'll never get to see their's," said Corey Williamson. "That makes me sad for them. I know the people and I love them dearly...I can imagine what they may feel about Ashley, right now, and I just want them to know that she didn't want this to happen no more than anyone wanted this to happen."

Investigators are still waiting on the medical examiner's report to determine if the pills Ashley Williamson gave to Britnee Mount, in fact, caused her death.
