LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - It is a bargain hunter's paradise stretching more than 390 miles from Jackson, Mississippi to Mesquite, Texas: the annual fall historic Highway 80 Garage Sale.
Anything and everything can be found in the three day event.
"Because you have that extra money for something else, see if you buy it cheaper you can buy more of it," said Misty McFadden
Of course, I brought my traditional get list from the home office: cabbage patch doll, rotary phone, anything Ricky Martin, ceramic rooster, Texas Rangers gear, anything Mr. T.
I found pogo sticks, sewing machines, even Beavis and Butthead, but at first nothing on the list.
Then...gold! After much searching I found the ceramic roosters, a cabbage patch doll, a Nickelodeon rotary phone, a Texas Rangers Michael Young bat.
But, in the end, no Ricky Martin or Mr. T.
Provided you have a reasonable list? You should find everything you want.
The Highway 80 Garage Sale continues Saturday and Sunday. The next garage sale will be held in April.
