BIG SANDY, TX (KLTV) - BIG SANDY, TX (KLTV) - A Big Sandy teenager is dead, and another is under arrest.
Britnee Mount, a junior at Big Sandy High School had a heart attack at her home last Thursday, and died Tuesday at Children's Hospital in Dallas.
Wednesday, Big Sandy police arrested Ashley Williamson, 17, a senior at Big Sandy High School on a charge of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
The school says Mount's death could be because of drugs she received on campus from another student.
Friends say that Mount and Williamson were very close, and it is a shock that her death may be drug-related.
The Big Sandy chief of police says more charges could be filed against Ashley Williamson.
There will reportedly be a candlelight vigil held for Britnee Mount Thursday night on the Big Sandy football practice field after the junior varsity game.
A fund has been set up in Britnee Mount's name, to help with funeral expenses. You can donate at any Austin Bank location.
