Astros Hand Rangers Sixth Straight loss

The Rangers are trying to stop the bleeding, but the Astros are not interested in helping that cause. The Rangers pitching has been getting rocked and again tonight gave up the long ball early and often.

Craig Biggio got the fireworks started by hitting the first pitch for a homer. That became his 32nd career leadoff homer. Richard Hidalgo also added a homer along with three hits on the night.  Hank Blaylock and Rafael Palmerio homered for the Rangers, but it was was too little to late. The Astros went on to win 9-5 to give them a half-game lead over the Cubs for first place in the NL Central.
