It was a big turnout for a man who devoted much of his time to promoting airshows and teaching others the joy of flying. Over 300 people packed into the sky-diving hanger at Gladewater airport to remember their favorite stories and experiences with 60 year old pilot Tom Southern. His family chose the site because they say it was fitting that he was remembered in the place he spent most of his time... At the airport. In his honor, the missing man formation was flown over the field... And Toms ashes were scattered over the airfield by sky-divers. The FAA is still investigating the cause of Southerns June 15th plane crash in Gladewater.
