DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA (WALB) - A Georgia man died Monday afternoon from an attack by tens of thousands of honey bees.
Curtis Davis, 73, was on a bulldozer on some property on Williamsburg Road in Southeast Dougherty County when he bumped a wooden porch post where bees had built a huge hive.
They swarmed the cab of the bulldozer and Davis was stung hundreds of times.
He was rushed to a hospital where he died.
A beekeeper was called in to exterminate the bees.
Firefighters who were called in to spray the insects so that paramedics could get to the victim were stung as well.
