TYLER, TX (KLTV) -  Larry Reed has been blind since the age of four.

He hasn't allowed his loss of sight, to keep him from seeing the big picture.

"All your life, you want to be able to play something," said Reed, "Then they create a game just for you, and it is just great to be able to compete."

Reed, the president for the Tyler Tigers Blind Beep Baseball Team, is going to bat for those with breast cancer.

"We have to be unified," said Reed, "That is what it's about, to show that wether blind or with breast cancer, you are not alone."

This weekend, the Tigers joined forces with local breast cancer supporters, for a beep baseball game, to raise awareness for both breast cancer and blindness.

"It is a struggle for both," said Tony Bush, a member of the Tigers, "Both women who have breast cancer and people who are blind go through a fight everyday, and this is just to show that no matter what, you can overcome."

The Tyler Blind Beep Baseball Team will also be accepting any donations and/or sponsorships for the 2011 World Series in Indianapolis.

If you would like to help, or get more information on the event, contact Larry Reed at 903-714-2697.
