TYLER, TX (KLTV) -   A two time Super Bowl champion was in East Texas Tuesday.  His message was about much more than football.

Former Oklahoma All American and Cowboys star Tony Casillas was in Tyler speaking at the 3rd Annual Hispanic Business Alliance Achievers Awards.

Casillas spoke about success since his playing days.  He is currently the president for TC Gas and Oil.

The Super bBwl champ served as an honorary captain in the Cowboys home opener, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

"There's players in the NFL, that are Latino and it's just good to see especially in Dallas that it's being recognized in Texas," said Casillas.  "If you look at the fan base of mostly the Cowboys and even the Texans the Latinos make up a lot of that fan base. It's good to be able to recognize and be able to appreciate what you're bringing to the table."
