LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Military vehicles, fire engines, classic cars and monster trucks were all on display at an annual event to help needy families in Gregg County.
It was the second annual Touch a Truck festival at the Longview Fairgrounds, sponsored by Longview Community Ministries. From fire trucks to monster trucks, families and their kids had a chance to get up close and look inside the vehicles. The price of admission was a jar of peanut butter to go into the food bank, and the event is held to help the ministry Feed the Hungry.
Around 2,400 people attended the event at the fairgrounds Saturday, and over 1,100 jars of peanut butter were collected.
