Tyler Tops Nation Again

Tyler is once again number one. The Tyler Chamber of Commerces' recruitment drive, which kicked off the first week of June, set a national record.

In just three days, the Chamber raised 465 new members, the most ever in a three day period. That brings the total number of members to 2000. That's the fourth largest chamber in the state behind Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston.

"It tells you what a great community we live in; what kind of people are citizens of Tyler," says Monica Tynes, the Chamber's Vice President for Membership Services. "We work together in anything that we can do."

The last time Tyler held a membership drive, it raised more than 300 members. That set a national record at the time, and still ranks in the top ten events ever.
