TYLER, TX (KLTV) - TYLER, TX (KLTV) - An arrest has been made in connection to the Winters Park murder.

Ronnie Dewayne Kemp was found shot dead in Winters Park three months ago. Kemp's brother-in-law, Sharieff Dean, 61, is charged with Capital Murder for Retaliation.

Officials with the Tyler Police Department say Kemp was a drug informant to area law enforcement. They say evidence shows Dean killed Kemp after he thought Kemp told police about his drug activity. Police say they have reason to believe others are involved in this capital murder case.

"It's possible that it was basically it was a set-up due to the fact that their intentions were to murder him so that is a possibility," said Don Martin, with the Tyler PD.

Dean's bond was set at $1,000,000.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime is asked to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
