Police: Man arrested breaking into home

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Released by the Longview Police Department:

LONGVIEW, TX - On September 23, 2010 at around 11:02 a.m., Longview Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Melton Street for a report of suspicious activity. The caller, aware of recent burglaries in the area, knew the two men he had seen at the back of a residence at 139 East Melton did not live there and the caller was also able to describe an orange truck parked at the location.

Officers arrived and located 21-year-old Lamarcus Pearson inside the residence. Pearson, seeing the officer, fled the location, but was captured by an officer on the other side of the house. Officers located a broken window at the rear of the house with a ladder leaned up against it.

Pearson was booked into the Gregg County Jail for criminal trespass and evading arrest.
