JASPER, TX (KTRE) - Police have arrested a janitor employed with Jasper ISD after they say they learned he was conducting an affair with his girlfriend's sister.

John Johnson, 40, is charged with the second-degree felony of improper relationship between an educator and student, because he is employed at the same school the girl attended.

According to Det. Perry Woods, Johnson began the sexual relationship in Nov. 2009 with the girl who was 15 at the time. Woods said Johnson confessed to the crime.

Johnson turned himself in to police on Sunday and is being held in the Jasper County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
