East Texas preschoolers enjoy pet fair

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Students at a Tyler preschool had a very fun Friday meeting every family's favorite pet.

For about ten years now folks at the Kids' Kaleidoscope Preschool have held the pet fairs, which are a big hit for the kids and parents.

Each family brings a pet for the kids to meet and each one has their own favorite.

"I like big dogs and I like the dogs named Jet and I like them with their ears pointing up," said Thad Salvage, a Kids' Kaleidoscope student.

"[It is] a hands-on experience with all the pets," said Becky Appel, the curriculum director. "They get to see them and talk to them and touch them also."

Families have brought fish, hamsters, even ponies before to the event.
