TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Alex, 15, likes to write Christian music and play football.
It was a test of driving skills for Alex as we went head to head on his race car video game. Even though he only has his learner's permit, he beat me every time!
The 15-year-old is very outgoing and looking to find a family to join him in the race of life.
"It gives you someone to talk to," said Alex. "It gives me structure to know what's good and what's wrong."
Alex very much wants to be adopted. The 10th grader is well liked and his peers describe him as personable, inquisitive and a jokester.
"I like football, video games [and] mostly athletic stuff," said Alex.
His favorite team is the Denver Broncos. When it comes to school, Alex likes science and history but math not so much.
"I'm thinking about being an engineer and that takes a lot of science," said Alex.
He is thinking seriously about becoming a computer tech, and his top choices for college include Texas Tech and Texas A&M.
Alex also likes to write music.
"I write poems first and then turn it into music," said Alex.
He says he writes mainly Christian music and that he finds it easier because his only critic is God. He just recently finished a song that he is really proud of.
"It's called Found at Last and it talks about is being found there, praying with God, and finally being able to go in his ways," explained Alex.
Alex has put a lot of thought into the type of family he sees himself with and says that he would like to be either an only child or have older siblings. Alex is ok with having either two parents or just a single dad.
Like everyone else, Alex is looking for a place to be loved and accepted in a family he can call his own, a family that will show Alex the gift of love.
