EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - It has been nine years since thousands of American civilians were killed when terrorists struck on September 11th, crashing two airplanes into the Twin Towers in New York, one into the Pentagon and another in a field in rural Pennsylvania.
For many, 9/11 is like the Kennedy assassination: Everyone remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing when it happened. We know how the world changed, how our lives and livelihoods were impacted, how our young soldiers headed off to Afghanistan to fight and die in the war against terrorism. We were all affected in some way by the events of 9/11.
