TITUS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Released by the Titus County Sheriff's Office:
TITUS COUNTY, TX - On the 9th day of September 2010 at approximately 1711 hours, Titus County Sheriff's Office assisted by the Texas Department of Public Safety executed a Narcotic Search Warrant, signed by Justice of the Peace Paula Dyke, at 1652 CR 4840 Mount Pleasant, Titus County, Texas. During the execution of the warrant, two adults fled the residence on foot but were quickly caught by Titus County Deputies and detained. A third adult was detained inside the residence where two children were also found.
A search of the location revealed the ingredients and necessary tools used for the manufacturing of methamphetamines along with numerous containers of liquid believed to be methamphetamines. The three adults, Tricha McLendon, Thomas Justice, and Jim Key were arrested for violation of the Texas Health and Safety Code Section 481.112 Offense: Manufacture or Delivery of Substance in Penalty Group 1 200 grams or more but less than 400 grams, a felony of the first degree punishable by imprisonment in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for life or for a term of not more than 99 years or less than10 years, and a fine not to exceed $100,000.
The total amount of methamphetamine seized was approximately 27 ounces, weight including the containers the methamphetamine was held in.
Child Protective Services arrived on scene and took possession of the two juvenile children.
