A teenage girl from Kilgore needs surgery after she and a friend jump out of the way of an oncoming train. On Thursday, the girls were walking on a bridge over the the Sabine river off Highway 31, when they saw the train heading their way. They could not get off the bridge in time, so they jumped; hitting the river bank 30 feet below. One girl suffered a slight vertebra fracture. The second girl had two crushed ankles. She now will have to undergo several surgeries.
