TYLER, TX - On September 6, 2010 just prior to 7:30pm, Tyler Police dispatch received several 911 calls reporting shots fired at the intersection of N. Broadway and Gentry. The callers said the occupants of two pick-up trucks were shooting at each other. Shortly after this occurred, the two trucks went north on Broadway where they passed another pair of passenger cars also going northbound.

Somewhere near or on the bridge on N. Broadway above Blackfork Creek, an occupant of one of the pick-up trucks began shooting at the other truck. One of the other vehicles, not involved in the earlier incident, was struck by one bullet. The bullet struck the hood of the victim's vehicle. The victim pulled over to the side of the road where she was contacted by police.

Dispatch received another call from the occupants of one of the trucks involved. Officers responded to their residence and processed the truck they had been driving. There were several gunshot holes in the truck, but neither of the occupants was struck. Detectives responded and were interviewing all involved.
