TYLER,TX (KLTV)- A shooting victim continues to fight for his life in a Tyler hospital, after being shot with an assault rifle by a neighbor late Thursday night. It happened about 10:30 Thursday night in the Smallwood road neighborhood in Liberty city. Witnesses say a 21 year old man had expressed concern over a domestic argument among his neighbors, and after he returned to his home, the neighbor shot him through the window of his home with an assault rifle. The victim was taken from the house by ambulance and later flown to a hospital in Tyler.

30 year old Eric Hinkle was arrested and charged with 5 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. 28 year old Jennifer Hicks-Williams was also arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Family members say the victim is stable, but remains in critical condition.
