Friday morning, more than 300 seniors from John Tyler High School walked across the stage.
The ceremony lasted over an hour, with graduates waving to family and friends. Some moms and dads have seen older children graduate in years past. But for some parents, this is a unique time in their lives... just as it is for their children. They're seeing their first child receive their diploma.
"It's very emotional, we've got a lot of family out in the stands. She's my first born to graduate," said father Edwin Tilley.
