TYLER, TX (KLTV) - One year after winning a state title, King's Academy Christian School didn't have enough kids to field a six man football team in 2008. The team returned last season, but is in much better shape this time around.
"Last year we weren't very organized and basically had a couple of guys that knew what they were doing," said Senior Eliott Vincent. "This year we have a lot more experience."
The team believes they're talented enough, to reach the same championship level the program has achieved in years past.
"We missed the playoffs by one touchdown actually," said Senior Alex Miller about the 2009 season. "So this year we're focused a lot more prepared and we're ready. It's going to be our second year, all of us guys together, so we're ready."
