A Rains County woman county who didn't show up for work was found murdered in her home yesterday.
And investigators believe her husband is responsible. 40-year-old Floyd Edward Rogers, Jr., who goes by Eddy, has been arrested in the murder of his wife Tracy.
The murder happened at the Rogers' home on Highway 69 between Emory and Point. Authorities say they're not sure if anyone else, including the children, were home when the mother of two was killed.
"It appears based off my conversations with the justice of the peace and a review of his reports that she was killed by a gun shot wound," says Robert Vititow, Rains County Attorney. The Rains County Attorney says it would be up to a grand jury to indict Floyd Rogers.
The Sheriff says they collected enough evidence at the scene to charge Rogers with his wife's murder. His bond was set at 150,000 dollars.
