POLLOK, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office is piecing together evidence of what they say was a sexual assault on an East Texas woman along Thigpen Road in Pollok.
According to Lt. Pete Cooper, a woman was walking her dog on the road around 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. when another pedestrian assaulted her on the side of the road. The woman managed to get away and ran home and called 911, Cooper said.
Cooper said the woman described the man as a white male, aged between 30 and 40 and wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt. His hair is described as salt-and-pepper colored, he may have a beard and he has a slim build.
Deputies were combing the area for evidence at around 9:30 a.m. while the woman was being examined.
