TYLER, TX (KLTV) - TYLER, TX (KLTV) - School is starting up, and now, hundreds of East Texas families who need a little help will get it.
Tuesday, PATH distributed thousands of school supplies to East Texas schools.
The supplies were collected around Tyler and Smith County throughout the month of July.
PATH officials say once again, East Texans saw the need and did not let them down.
"We want children to feel good about what they're doing," said Becky Duncan, with PATH. "We want them to feel successful and to have the tools to do that and that's what we hope we're providing."
Officials at PATH say so far, they have collected more than 85,000 school supplies this year.
