Tyler, Texas (KLTV) - One thing is for sure, Chapel Hill is sure happy to hit the field this season.
"You look at what we did last year, and how we finished," said head coach Thomas Sitton, "We see what lies ahead, and it makes us excited."
Adding to the excitement, the district realignment, seems to favor a run by the Bulldogs.
Out of a district that saw Gilmer and Tatum, into a district, with Brownsboro, Athens, Bullard and Rusk...a district many see Chapel Hill as winning.
"I love the new district," said lineman James Brooks, "I think it is right there for us to win."
To get there, though, the road will be tough.
The Bulldogs spared no effort, and scheduled one of the toughtest pre-seasons in the area.
Westwood, 4A Whitehouse, defending 3A champion Carthage, 4A Hallsville, and a two round 3A playoff team from Center, mark the beginning of the 2010 campaign for Chapel Hill.
"We think we're good enough to do that," said Brooks, "We're not afraid to go against the big dogs and they're going to be surprised at what they see I think.
Lineman Dante Keeler added, "We're not going to back down from anything. We're going to fight like dogs all the way until the end."
