LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - It's a new day for Spring Hill football. The team is led by first year Head Coach Bill Poe. Poe comes over from one of the best programs in the country, Southlake Carroll.
"We know it's been working for them (SLC) for years," said Lineman Logan Wallis. "So we figure if it can work for them, we can do the same thing. We should have no problem with it."
The new change won't be easy, as the Panthers have to go through the likes of Gilmer, Carthage, Pittsburg, Gladewater and Henderson just to make the playoffs. The Panthers hope the Southlake success can rub off on them.
"We're really confident in Coach Poe and things he's doing for us," said Linebacker Alex Voelzke. "We're buying into it and it's exciting to learn a new offense and get to do new kinds of things."
