Tyler business donates life jackets to Jacksonville program

JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) - JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas sporting goods store has answered the call for the need of dozens of life jackets, for the program dedicated to keeping kids safe in the water.

The Kids Don't Float program was designed to help prevent drownings at Lake Jacksonville.

The donated life jackets are supposed to be borrowed and returned by swimmers, but just a month after the launch of the program, the life jackets were gone.

Wednesday, Ken's Sporting Goods in Tyler donated nearly 40 life jackets to the program.
