Marshall Police Officer Resigns Over Charges

An East Texas police officer resigns under charges of official oppression. Marshall police sergeant, Blake Bolander admitted striking and choking a man during the booking process at the Harrison county jail. Sergeant Bolander said the man was being verbally abusive during the April 17th incident. Police Chief James Wilkins accepted the officers resignation saying no matter what the circumstances, that type of action can not be condoned or tolerated.
