Elderly Man Killed in Highway 271 Rollover

An elderly man has been killed in a single car crash in Tyler. 

It happened around 2 p.m. Thursday on Highway 271, about a mile north of U.T. Health Center. Tyler Police say the man lost control of his convertible.... just why isn't known. The car ran into a ditch, flipped over, and caught on fire. 

Right now, police aren't releasing the man's name until relatives can be notified. No one else was hurt.
