TITUS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Released by the Titus County Sheriff's Office:
TITUS COUNTY, TX - An Investigation started over a month ago from a citizen complaint results in two arrests tonight. On the 28th day of July 2010, Titus County Deputies David Robinson, Brad Duncan, Marcus Carlock and John Livingston planned, organized, and executed a buy bust sting operation. At an undisclosed location in the Blodgett community of Titus County, a deputy was placed into an undercover capacity at which time two persons from Winnsboro sold methamphetamines. Other deputies moved in after a purchase of approximately 1 gram of methamphetamines was completed, placing Thressa Kirkendall and Joseph Overstreet into custody. After the arrest an additional amount of methamphetamine, approximately 1 gram, was found on Thressa Kirkendall's person.
Thressa Kirkendall, age 42 from Winnsboro, was booked into the Titus County Jail for the following:
1. Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over 1 gram but less than 4 grams a 2nd Degree Felony punishable by 2 to 20 years in Texas Department of Corrections Division and optional fine not to exceed $10,000
2. Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over 1 gram but less than 4 grams a 3rd Degree Felony punishable by 2 to 10 years in Texas Department of Corrections Division and optional fine not to exceed $10,000
Joseph Overstreet, age 38 from Winnsboro, was booked into the Titus County Jail for the following:
