Robbers strike at early morning poker game in Tyler

TYLER, TX - On July 26, 2010 at approximately 2:05 a.m. the Tyler Police Department received a telephone call regarding an Aggravated Robbery that occurred at the Timber Creek Apartment Complex (2720 S. Broadway Ave.). When officers contacted the caller he stated he was playing a game of poker with several people when three unknown black males entered his apartment, displayed a handgun and demand their money. The caller along with those in the apartment gave the suspects their money before one of the suspects discharged their handgun. The caller then stated the suspects fled the area in an unknown vehicle and in an unknown direction.

The victims described the suspects as black males, age unknown, between 170 -190 pounds and between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet and 11 inches. The victims also said one of the suspects was wearing a blue bandana, a second suspect was wearing a white shirt and all three were wearing blue jeans. No person was injured or required medical attention as a result of the incident. Tyler Police Department Major Crimes Investigators responded to the scene and the case remains under investigation.
