NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A woman arrested for public intoxication is in bigger trouble now as the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office says she "slapped at" an officer while being transferred out of the detox cell and onto a restraint chair.

According to the Nacogdoches County Jail, inmate Carol Snider, 56, of Texas City, was being moved from a holding detox cell to a restraint chair, after she was throwing things in the detox cell. Officers were afraid that the other inmate could get hurt.

The report states Snider resisted and slapped at one of the officers. Officers regained control and placed a spit mask over Snider for additional precaution.

Snider is charged with assault on a public servant and public intoxication.

Snider has a long past with the law, dating back to a disorderly conduct conviction in 1982.
