After being humiliated in horse shoes, the 7 Sports guys wanted some redemption with a washers challenge. Tyler native John Hardy challenged the guys in his own backyard. It was best two out of three. Games were played to 21.
When asked if you had to be a good athlete to play washers, Hardy could only laugh. "Not quite," he said. "Just put the ring in the hole."
The 7 Sports guys took game one 21 to 18. The game was really slow, and felt even longer in the hot Texas sun.
In the second game, the two teams were tight most of the game. With the score tied, the Hardy family ended up winning on a three point shot, as the ring fell in the hole. That forced a game three. To save some time, game three was only to eleven.
The 7 Sports guys made quick work in the final game. Ryan scored the first three, then Coleman scored eight more, giving 7 Sports the win.
