TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Eric, 14, is shy at first, but it doesn't take long for the sports fan and player to warm up. Now, he is looking for a forever family to help him navigate the game of life.

Eric has never been to Chuck E. Cheese so we had some fun playing all the games and let's just say he is good at video games and sports.

"I love to play sports - football, basketball," said Eric. "My hobby is to work sometimes. I love to do school work and math is my favorite subject."

While he likes math, science not so much. Eric is a very likeable young man who's very inquisitive who has no trouble making friends. He loves to be outside and involved in all types of activities - including going to church. When it comes to his future, Eric sees sports and helping others on his career path.

"When I grow up, I plan on playing football or sports or something," he said. "If that doesn't work out, plan on being a counselor."

He loves the University of Texas and hopes to attend college there one day. Eric just finished the 8th grade and did very well academically, making the A/B honor roll.

When it comes to his dinner plate, don't expect to see anything green!

"I love to eat cheeseburgers," said Eric. "I kinda don't like to eat vegetables."

As for Eric's three wishes, he focuses on family and success.

"[I want] to go see my family, grow up to be a great person and have a house and a lot of money," he said.

Therapy is a part of Eric's life in order to help him deal with the issues relating to being removed from his parents. He hopes his new family will love and accept him with open arms.

"I would like for them to be caring and I would just like to be in there playing games and stuff and just being a real family," said Eric.

Although he has expressed some apprehension and concern about being adopted, Eric is optimistic about the possibilities and would like to have a two parent family that can show him the gift of love.
