LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - It is a summer job that some East Texas kids are actually paying to do.
This week, teenagers with the United Methodist Army are hard at work in Longview, painting houses and even building wheelchair ramps for disabled East Texans.
KLTV 7 video journalist Lynn Mitchell joined them at the jobsite. Click on the video in the upper right-hand corner of this page to see how the day went.
The kids paid about $215 for the opportunity to work on the houses. The money covers materials for the home improvements.
