KILGORE, TX (KLTV) - An east Texas woman known as "the woman without a country" is officially an American.

We told you last week about June Cloud. She was born in her parents Kilgore home and unable to provide enough proof of her first five years of life. This led to a passport office in Houston declining her request for a much-needed travel document, since she didn't have a birth certificate.

With the help of Congressman Louie Gohmert's office and the Gregg County Clerk's Office, this week, June Cloud was issued a passport.

This means the 61-year-old east Texan can join her husband on an international cruise next month.
