A Welcome Surprise

East Texans with family members in Iraq have been through a lot the last few months.  But on  the last weekday before mother's day, a Soldier's mother had a surprise waiting for her at work, A special tribute from the American Legion; and her students.
Lillie Tucker, a teacher at Gilmer Elementary, along with her husband Wes, was presented a "Blue Star Flag" from the American Legion in a ceremony in front of the whole school.
She was also treated to a rendition of "God Bless The USA" sung by two of her students.
The Tucker's son, Corporal Travis Glen Tucker has been in Iraq since January.  He's due back sometime in June, and he'll be welcomed by a new addition to his family.  His wife, Jodi delivered their second daughter on the first day of May.
