Former State Rep. Bob Glaze Dies At 82

GILMER, TX (KLTV) - Funeral arrangement have been made for native East Texan and political veteran Bob Glaze, who died Friday at the age of 82.

A 12-year veteran in the Texas House of Representatives, Glaze was born Nov. 20, 1927 in Smith County. The man who represented East Texas took a personal interest in civic duty, serving in various positions for the city of Gilmer and throughout East Texas.

Glaze lived in Gilmer for more than 50 years, helping patients as a chiropractor and spending the rest of his time working on his ranch.

Burial services will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Glaze's funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday at First Baptist Church in Gilmer.
