It claims to be safer than sun bathing or tanning beds and better than those over-the-counter self tanners.
"I've tried the self tanners," says Cori Kelley. "I always had streaking and I've never had streaking with the mystic tan."
The mystic tan is a spray on tan made up of a bronzer, aloe vera and DHA. DHA is a colorless chemical you find in all self tanning products. It's what stains your skin the dark golden color.
East Texans like Cori Kelley say it works.
"It's kind of like I had tanned in a regular tanning bed but instead it develops in like 24 hours and I didn't have to wait. It was really fast and it wasn't orange it was very golden."
The skin conscience say its a healthy alternative.
"I don't want to be 26 and look like I am 40," says Kelley. "It's definitely something we've all been waiting for."
Tonya of Tyler had heard of the Mystic Tan and wanted to know if it really worked, so today she put the product to the test. Her verdict.
"It was kind of cold at first and then it was fine after that," she explained. "Then it was really cloudy and I couldn't see."
The say does cause a cloud. It won't hurt you but if you have asthma it may not be the best option for you.
Tonya did have to wear a cap to cover her hair, because the solution could die it.
Overall she says she was happy with the results and she liked it more than over the counter tanners.
"This makes it easier because it sprays all over evenly," says Tonya.
The tan won't last forever, though. it can last anywhere from 2 to 8 days.
A single visit will cost you $20 and to keep a long lasting tan it's recommended you get sprayed every five days. For more information call Club Tan at 903-581-1500
